HUGO ANAYA
Hugo Anaya was born and raised in Guanajuato, GTO, Mexico
He was educated in Mexico and the United States. He studied art at the Portland Art Museum School and Portland State University. He apprenticed at Mahaffey Fine Art studio in Portland. His work has been exhibited in Oregon art galleries and in 2002 he was given a solo show at the Gene Byron Museum in Guanajuato. Hugo’s work is in Public Collections, The Gilkey Print Center in the Portland Art Museum, and private collections.
JIM HIBBARD
Jim Hibbard was born in Tacoma, Washington.
He was educated in Tacoma schools and received a 4-year Certificate from Portland Art Museum School, a BS degree from Portland State College, and an MA degree in printmaking from the University of Iowa, where he studied with Mauricio Lasansky
He taught Drawing and Printmaking classes at Portland State University for 29 years and retired as Professor Emeritus.
Jim was a founding member of Blackfish Gallery, an artist owned and operated Art Gallery in the Pearl District in Portland.
Jim’s paintings, drawings and prints have been exhibited widely and are represented in museums as well as public and private collections.
JENNY HIBBARD
Jenny Hibbard was born in San Angelo, Texas.
She was educated in Portland schools, the Portland Museum Art School, and at Portland State University. She raised three children, worked at academic book supply companies and at various other jobs, and assisted at the Blackfish Gallery.
In Mexico she has been a teacher of English as a second language.
